Hi,
Been using vCenter Operations Manager for about a month now and so it should by now have a reasonable amount of data to make suggestions for undersized or oversized VMs.
However, in looking at the reports it seems that perhaps some of these suggestions might be a bit too aggressive.
For example, for my vCenter server itself the report suggests changing the VM from 2 vCPUs to 1vCPU and also reducing the RAM from 7GB to 2.9GB.
I had recently tried to reduce the amount of RAM from 7GB to 5GB but there appeared to be a noticeable drop-off in performance of the vCenter server. Especially when trying to view real-time charts.
All this then leads me to ask what I hope is a pretty simple question: is there a way to modify the thresholds vCOPS uses to determine if a VM is over/under sized.
Thanks
