There are 2 things that I didn't quite understand regarding the "Reclaimable Capacity" (on a VM level for example) and regarding the "Oversized VMs" report.
1. As you can see in the image below, under "Reclaimable Capacity" , when enlarging the "CPU" or "Memory", I see "% Reclaimable: 1 Month".
What does this 1 month represents? Can it be changed? What does it mean?
2. I have an issue where after generating the "Oversized VMs" report, there is information regarding some of the VMs, but also missing information (empty rows) on other VMs.
These VMs are up and running, and, in addition, I can see information on them in the "Reclaimable Capacity" on their object.
Does anyone knows why this happens?

I would like to remove a geo location tag from a datacenter in vROPs without removing the geo tag itself. I know this is probably simply but I just can't figure it out. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I just upgraded my environment to 6.6.1 and we have noticed the VSAN Operations Dashboard is missing, the other 3 out-of-the box VSAN dashboards are present.
Is there a way to reinstall the solution or reset the dashboards to defaults? Any thoughts or comments?

We are using vRops 6.6.0 and I have the following request:
We want to be able to find the VMs running on a specific host at a specific time. We want use this for finding the VMs running, when this host might crash (e.g. purple screen).
I have been able to create a dashboard, which displays the VMs running on any host in our environment, but I haven’t figure out how to use “time” as kind of input to this. We might
want to go back in time.
Is this possible at all and how ????

We have installed vRealize Operations Manager 6.6.1 and are very pleased with the GUI. It is a big step upwards from version 6.5.
We have created two super metrics to calculate the CPU capacity and one for the memory capacity totals for a group of VM's.
We created a custom group which filters the servers according to a custom tag. This shows all servers with that custom tag.
What we want to have now is a Dashboard with this group in an Object list which and another view which shows the totals of this Object list. The Object list is the easy part and is already created.
What do we have insert into do dashboard to make it show the totals which I created as 2 seperate supermetrics?

Am having an extremely vexing situation. The setup is currently 6.6.0 as have even re-installed cluster but the errors are the exact same with 6.6.0 and 6.6.1.
vROps installed - no issue
vROps basic config - no issue
Installed EP Ops agent on the following systems:
Server 2012R2 - all permutations, .exe, .zip, with and without JRE. Issue is same with all.
Server 2016 STandard - all permutations, .exe, .zip, with and without JRE. Issue is same with all

Vrops installed on 6.5 vcenter platform.For a setup topic, vrops was removed from vcenter but once it was removed, the OVA was retuned but the IP did not respond.
We had to put another IP to vrops, but we do not know if the IP was taken in vcenter, because every time we install a product as vrops, log insight the IP does not respond.The IP assigned in the first installation is 192.168.10.10.Post reinstallation we put the same IP and it does not respond.
The strange thing is that when putting the IP to a Windows if it responds, but with any product of VMware we have no answer.
There is some registry that does not allow to use the same IP.

I am having a problem getting the Guest Script Manager to execute a simple bash script:
cp /tmp/gg /tmp/gg2
Is there a reason why this bash command will not run? Is it the way that it's being interpreted when it is passed...I'm unsure. I am able to run this basic bash script:
sudo useradd [userName]
So I know that everything is working...just seems something is weird with how things are parsed when it runs. Any ideas?
Did anyone else noticed that alerts notes are gone from Alert details in vROPS 6.6.1 GUI ? They still exist in the database if querying using rest-api but missing from the GUI. This was something that we are using as we push certain info from Service Now to vROPS as a alert note and was usefull info for OPs teams. It`s not in 6.6.1 release notes ... is not anywhere... I have a report on VM's that we use for various things and includes all kinds of properties and metrics. I'd like to somehow capture which OS family they belong to (Windows Server, RHEL, Other, etc.) vs capturing the various specific OS+version's. I created a custom group type, OS Rollup, and a few custom groups, such as OS Rollup - Windows Server, i.e. The custom groups work but I am not sure how to include them in a view+report on our Virtual Machines. Am I going down the right path or is there a better way? I'd like to add this to my single report - not a separate report and not a dashboard, at least not yet.

Is there a way to show the actual member servers of the load balancer pool in a dashboard in vROps?
I am looking report to calculate IOPS for Linked clone desktop which is hosted in Horizon view environment. View pool configured to place Replica and linked clone desktop in different datastore. More specific i want separate value how much IOPs generated for linked clone Datastore and Replica datastore.
I have generated report "Datastore MinMaxAvg IOPs" and "VMs MinMaxAvg IOPs" and how to interpret reported value.
I have set vrops data retention to the lowest values i can with the exception that i would only have 1 month of metric data but that does not seem to be the case below are my global settings and a cpu metric for one of the hosts. Is there a settings file i need to modify or cant this be done

From the service Discovery management documentation I see that deep and shallow discovery has been replaced with known and user defined services. My question might be quite basic.... how do I define User Services in vROPS 6.6 (Service Discovery Management Pack 2.0 BTW).
I have lots of machines that are not showing any services - typically would this be down to the version of tools?

I'm trying to show Load Balancer properties using property widget. When I click on the Load balancer object list, that load balancer properties will be shown in the property widget. However, only ten (10) items is being showed automatically. Is there a way to increase the number of properties being shown?
When I turn on the self-provider and manually selected all the properties of one load balance, it shows all the properties I selected even I selected more than 10 properties. I don't want to use the self-provider so that only the properties of the load balance being click on the object list will be shown.

New to vRealize Ops Manager and I am trying to get the hang of it.
I have been going through and looking at Capacity remaining at it tells me I should up my vCPUs to 9 (24GHz). but the average usage is only at about 8.5 GHz It looks to me that it is basing this on a few spikes in usage. My question is, is there a setting or something I can change in order to get it to not use these anomaly? Or am I not thinking correctly here?

Create custom group type Environment based on vCenter Tags. Example SLA 24/7
Create a dashboard with the following widget: Alert List
We want to show the following alerts
In Objects we select the custom group
In tag picker we select the custom group
Filter Type:

it only show the performance / capacity alerts and not the application alerts
How can we also show the application alerts in the same dashboard?
